Mizel is one of the founding fathers of internet marketing so we should
all take him very serious. Some people call him the Grandfather of
Internet marketing (or at least e-mail marketing because email
marketing is his specialty).
Jonathan
Mizel is a former insurance salesman who's been a big player on the
internet since the internet began. His products include
Online Marketing Firepower - How To Sell Your Products and Services
Over The Emerging Information Superhighway, Amazing Pop-Ups, Anatomy Of
An Internet Marketing Roll-Out, and The Online Marketing Newsletter.
Mizel is
editor of one of the longest-running business publications in the short
history of the Internet called The Online Marketing Letter
So Mizel
definitely deserves credit just for being smart enough to be one the
first marketers on the internet marketing scene!
In some of
the courses Jonathan Mizel produces, he kind of took a cheap short-cut
by creating the courses from taking old copies of his newsletters and
re-naming them as a new new product. But don't get me wrong, they are
still very well written and highly educational for any online marketer.
In my
opinion Jonathan Mizel is the inventor of the whole concept of taking
300 pages of inexpensive black and white copies and sticking them into
a big 3 ring binder and calling this a marketing course. This whole
idea has become the standard type of product among most big name
marketing experts.
Mizel is
know for teaching his students this now famous concept: "Sell people
what they want, not what they need !" Jonanthan Mizel teaches that
"people buy with their emotions" and not based on logic.
Jonathan
Mizel has worked with major corporations like Sprint, Intel, Sports
Illustrated, American Express, and Microsoft, developing powerful,
responsive ad campaigns.
Mizel does
a few seminars a year speaking along with many of the biggest names in
internet marketing. But don't get in line for a ticket to one of his
seminars unless you've got at least $2,000.00 to fork over. This is the
average price to attend one of his seminars. I've read quite a few
books and courses by Mizel and I learned a lot. I liked his material so
much that I'm now selling some of his best books and courses at
