Rich Dad Poor Dad

Rich Dad Poor Dad is a book written by Robert Kiyosaki that is supposed to help you attain wealth by changing your attitude to that of a wealthy person and knowing how to manage your finances correctly.

The basic premise of Rich Dad Poor Dad is that Robert Kiyosaki's own father while very highly educated and with a decent job never made quite enough money to meet the family's needs, however, the father of one of his friends with whom he developed a relationship was an eighth grade dropout but yet was a multimillionaire.

I found there are many reviews and just as many opinions of Rich Dad Poor Dad. For the most part, there is good advice in the book regarding financial literacy. However, there are some who feel that the "rich dad" does not exist and that some of the concepts put forth in the book are not valid.

In my opinion, this book may have the information needed to promote healthy finances which is one of the first steps to achieving financial freedom.
